Color loading application
The color load is widely used, because it is basically the wet technique over wet, but with the idea of building volume or making paint more interesting from the chromatic point of view, because it is also used to tint objects with different colors.
It is about placing color, on a wash already placed on the paper wet.
Some tips for loading color:
The secret is to place this load color as gently dropping the color just touching the sheet with the tip of the brush, because we do not want to generate an excessive mixture, but that the different colors are perceived.
These deposits or loads of color are placed in several places to create a variation of color or value to create volume, for example.
To create volume on an object, a color base is made with a wash and then the shadow color is loaded.
The technique can be used by placing dark color over light color or vice versa. If we load a lighter color than the original wash, the light color may need several load repetitions, before it can replace the original.
It is also an interesting technique, because it creates textures, in addition to being able to add different colors to an object, either to draw the volume or to create color variation.
If we brush hard or scrub, a third color is formed between two colors, not color variation
You have to gently drop the color, with the tip of the brush to locate this new load where we want, it is better if there is low humidity and not excess water.
It is better to place the color with some thickness so that they do not form curly.
